Promoting the Preservation of the Schuylkill River

Who We Are

The Valley Forge Watershed Association’s mission is to promote the preservation and safe recreational use of the Schuylkill River, bounded upstream by the Valley Forge National Historical Park and downstream by the Norristown Dam. The Association will provide leadership and encourage unifying efforts from all individuals and organizations that share our purpose, concern and mission.  Learn more about Valley Forge Watershed Association.

Our Vision For the Future

The Valley Forge Watershed Association, organized in 2003, is a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit. The focus of the VFWA is to maintain a healthy, living Schuylkill River that connects people and nature in the second-largest basin on the 137-mile length of the river.

Since its inception, the VFWA has taken on numerous projects to preserve and protect recreational activities on the Schuylkill River.  Our goal is to continue to monitor, preserve, and protect the area from new threats as they arise.
