How We Started
The Valley Forge Watershed Association was started in October 2002 by a group of concerned citizens that believe the beauty and enjoyment of the Schuylkill River will be best supported by unifying efforts of organizations that reside along the river and have a stakeholder interest in protecting her beauty and function. The organization was formed as nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization.

Where We're Headed
The Valley Forge Watershed Association, organized in 2003, is a 501 (c)(3) Non Profit. The focus of the VFWA is to maintain a healthy, living Schuylkill River that connects people and nature in the second largest basin on the 137 mile length of the river.
